Vanilla chia pudding with figs

HEALTHY DESSERT. We usually have prejudices that desserts are not healthy. Everything depends on the ingredients and the way of preparation. In any case, you can save this dessert without any bite to be saved. 

The main ingredients of this dessert are figs and chia seeds. Such dessert is the right nutritional wealth and very welcome to our body.

 

To make this dessert healthier you can use agave or maple syrup. Chia pudding is complemented by figs, taste of vanilla and crunchy corn flakes. Corn flakes can be replaced with domestic granules. In this recipe are used black chia seeds (white chia seeds are also perfect).

 

Chia seeds are considered as “super” food and they are full of fibres, omega-3 fatty acids, potassium, magnesium and antioxidants. Thanks to this, they provide more energy and endurance and regulate digestion.

 

We are very often in some hurry and great help is when some meal is quickly prepared. One of that kind dishes is chia pudding. It can be prepared the night before and in the morning breakfast or snack is already done.

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp chia seeds (black)
  • 2 cups almond beverage
  • 4 teaspoons agave syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp corn flakes

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl mix chia seeds, almond drink, agave syrup and vanilla extract.
  2. Place it in the fridge overnight to cool down (or at least 3 hours).
  3. Put chia pudding with sliced ​​figs in the cup and serve.
